About Greener Way Associates, Inc. (GWA):
GWA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit fostering sustainability through eco-landscaping, water reclamation, and youth mentorship. Our mission aligns with the Earth Charter, promoting environmental care, social justice, and community well-being.

Role Overview:
We’re seeking passionate individuals with a flair for social media to join us! As a Social Media Coordinator volunteer, you’ll be instrumental in sharing our eco-centric initiatives with the world.

Requirements:
– Familiarity with major social media platforms
– Interest in gardening, environmental issues, and social justice
– Creativity to generate original content
– Ability to coordinate with other volunteers if multiple candidates are selected
– Remote work flexibility with occasional event attendance for content creation
– Ability to embody and uphold the GWA brand in both words and images
– Proper communication etiquette is a must to maintain the integrity of the GWA brand
– No previous experience required, a nicely curated personal social media channel is a plus

Tasks:
– Create and curate engaging content for various platforms
– Coordinate posting schedule and themes
– Collaborate on content creation for events
– Assist in developing a social media calendar
– Attend occasional events for on-site content creation
– Visit local gardens or neighbors with interesting gardens to film and take photos for engaging content

Examples of Content:
– DIY gardening guides and projects
– Seasonal tips on planting and pruning
– Maintenance guides for small herb gardens
– Water-saving techniques and education
– Environmental awareness campaigns
